Story

I'm raising money for a brilliant charity called Red Balloon which supports children who are too frightened to go to school because of bullying, mental health problems and/or other trauma in their lives. I was particularly struck by Daniels's story on Red Balloons website. He was so badly bullied at his secondary school that he suffered post-traumatic stress disorder and spent a year in a psychiatric hospital. Luckily, his mother found Red Balloon and Daniel went on to thrive and is now at university. His is an inspirational story - you can find more here: www.redballoonlearner.org/stories/ There are some 16,000 children missing from school because of bullying or trauma and they desperately need Red Balloon's help. That's why I'm taking part in this years Red Balloon Ride. Together with others, were aiming to raise £10,000 in June to help children like NAME OF CASE STUDY KID. So will you sponsor me, please? Your support will help keep me motivated on those rainy days!

About the charity

16,000 children in the UK are so badly bullied that they cannot go to school. The aim of Red Balloon is to aid their recovery by providing them with an 'intensive care' full-time academic and personal and social education programme so that they can return to mainstream school or go on to college.
