Watt Bike Cycling · 11 November 2020
Hi! I am Sapper Madhav Karki.I am from Mc-Phie Troop,36 training squadron,1 RSME. In this coming November 11,2020 at 12 pm me along with my 9 course mate from Mc-Phie Troop are doing charity for the Royal British Legion by covering 415 km in 6 hr in a watt bike hoping to raise minimum of £500.
We choosed 415km cause it is the distance of Burma Railway which is also known as “ The Death Railway “. This Burma Railway track was build by Japanese military in Second World War. Between 180,000 and 250,000 allied prisoners of war were subjected to forced labour during its construction. About 16,000 allied prisoners were died.
To commemorate the memory of the allied prisoners,we choosed this distance and do charity for the British Legion.
We also wants to reflect the cultural diversity in the British army by doing this charity. In this charity, lads are not only from United Kingdom, they are also from Nepal and Carribean.
Support us for raising the funds for the charity. Our goal is to raise minimum £500.The charity is opened and it will be till 11th November. Please, help us raising fund and go beyond our goal.
