The birthday couple have asked that no one bring them gifts.  However, if you feel the need to provide a gift, please consider a donation to the Akshaya Patra Foundation.  They provide self-sustaining kitchens in India - in the morning, meals are made and provided free to school age children and in the afternoon, meals are sold to local businesses in order to fund the morning children meals.  By doing this, their main mission is promotion of education - children, especially girls, will come to school more often if they are guaranteed a meal.
