100km during Lockdown 2.0 · 4 November 2020

We are a professional ballet company for dancers of black & Asian descent. We bring ballet to a more culturally diverse audience by celebrating black and Asian dancers in ballet. Our ultimate goal is to see a fundamental change in the number of black & Asian dancers in mainstream ballet companies

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Maddie and I am 9 years old.  I am going to try and run 100km over the upcoming Lockdown (that is 25km per week for 4 weeks) to raise money for Ballet Black.

I want to help support a small ballet company which, like all ballet companies around the world, will be feeling the impacts of COVID-19.

I know that even though there are no performances to go and watch right now, all the dancers are still training really hard and coming up with new choreography for us to enjoy when the theatres re-open (very soon I hope).

I want to make sure that when COVID-19 goes away there will still be Ballet to go and watch at the theatre and Ballet Black is one of my favourites.
