I am delighted to have been accepted by International Citizen Service and Voluntary Service Overseas to work for three months in Makueni County, Kenya, from June to August 2019, working with local volunteers on community projects and living with a Kenyan family. Recent volunteers have helped local young people in Wote, Makueni, to start their own businesses. I will update this page when I receive more information on my particular placement from VSO. In the meantime I have the task of raising £1500, which will go towards VSO's vital aid work across eight countries around the world. I am planning a series of fundraising events over the coming months, including music events, baking events and sales.
