Story

I have been fortunate to experience invaluable support from Cavendish Cancer Care at no financial cost during my final year at university.

My fabulous mum has been having treatment for secondary breast cancer. She has taken everything in her stride, always with a few cheeky jokes up her sleeve and I couldn't be more in awe of her. But being far away at university from a loved one whilst they are undergoing treatment for cancer can be difficult and can trigger feelings of guilt and anxiety. Your degree can become overwhelming and trivial compared to what is going on at home.

Cavendish Cancer Care supported me through a course of Hypnotherapy and I could not be more grateful for the benefit this has had on my health and positive outlook on life!

Cavendish Cancer Care offers free of charge support for cancer patients and their families. They supported more than 1,900 families in 2018, but Cavendish receive just enough statutory funding to keep their doors open for two weeks each year. Please join me in making a difference to this brilliant local charity by sponsoring my efforts in the Sheffield 10K
