Welcome to the Nottingham Trent climbs Kilimanjaro campaign! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

Story

Hello! Huge thank you for visiting my page :)

In September 2020 I was supposed to be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro but as we all know 2020 decided to change everybody's plans.

However, NTU students are not giving up! The trek is still happening and will take place in 2023. Also, It's not only about the world's tallest freestanding mountain. My climb is in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation; a charity that aims to research and raise awareness of two serious diseases, Meningitis and Septicaemia. Shockingly, meningitis and neonatal sepsis are the second biggest infectious killer of children under the age of five on the planet, affecting more than 2.8 million people every year! They can kill you within 12 hours and are responsible for more deaths of children under 5 than malaria, measles, tetanus and AIDS combined.

Meningitis Research Foundations' work is providing better access to vaccines, health systems that can diagnose and treat children, and support to survivors of meningitis

It's time to make meningitis a global health priority. Through collective work, we can achieve amazing results and live in Meningitis free world. By clicking the 'Give Now' button and donating you can be a part of this 💜!

Thank you!!!
