During my most recent visit to Peru, we opened a new therapy centre. Without a name outside or any kind of announcement we had a queue of patients on day 1. This proved the need for the services we are providing for disabled children and people suffering the disabling effect of accidents for whom there is no other source of therapy and support. Our physiotherapist, psychologist, social worker and volunteer coordinator are based in the centre and serve a very poor under-resourced  community where health care is very limited.

We plan to develop this service to include day-care facilities for pre and post school age children where we can provide care, therapy and life skills training so I thought I would use this opportunity to raise some money towards their development.

We also continue to care for 8 children in the Rainbow House orphanage in Urubamba and run the Mama Cocha centre in the north of  Peru

We are very small charity so all funds raised go directly to the patients who need our help. If you could consider a donation to my Great North Run event it would be very much appreciated and will make a significant difference to the lives of many disadvantaged children and young adults.
