24 Hour cycle-athon · 3 August 2018

Safe & Sound provide vital support to vulnerable children and young people at risk of child exploitation. Through awareness raising, 1-2-1 support, youth work, family support and next steps transition work, we transform young lives with positive futures away from the dangers of exploitation.

Story

For this year's challenge, Dean Hanley, Tim Cox, Simon Barcz and Anthony Burrows are all taking part in a 24 hour none stop static bike ride in the Neptune pub in Derby. The lads will be starting at 3pm on Friday 3rd of August and cycling all through the night until 3pm on Saturday 4th of August.

This year's chosen charity is the Safe and Sound group based in Darley Abbey mills. They help children who have been sexually exploited and groomed just like those in the Derby and Rochdale cases.

They do an absolutely amazing job helping them in their recovery and they provide support to those victims and also help children at risk of being exploited in Derby and Derbyshire.

I think you will all agree that this is a very deserving charity and I am hoping you will dig deep.
