Kayaking my way through lockdown for the NHS · 31 January 2021

NHS Charities Together is a national independent charity caring for the NHS. Together with a network of over 230 NHS charities across the UK, we provide the extra support needed to care for NHS staff, patients and communities.

Story

As part of my duke of Edinburgh award I am raising money for the NHS. I will kayak twice a week along my local canal over the lockdown period, whatever the weather.   I am aiming to kayak 200km.

I have chosen to raise money for the NHS after all their hard work and amazing care that they gave to my great uncle John  who sadly passed of COVID recently. Throughout the pandemic the NHS have helped and saved many lives and supported many families, I would like to show my appreciation by raising money to support them.  I will do my best to raise as much as possible my aim is raise £1000 to say thank you to the NHS.

*Please note that my kayaking will record on strava as a run but it is me kayaking on the canal.
