Story

On May 1st 2010 I will be attempting, and I use the word attempt with good reason, to complete the "Maggies Monster Bike & Hike" which meanders up the ; this entails having to cycle 30 miles and hike 22 miles ...

Maggie’s is a charity that supports people with cancer and their families, helping them deal with what they are going through. It is named after a woman called Maggie Jencks who died of cancer. Whilst terminally ill, she came up with an idea for specialist centres beside hospitals to support people with cancer and their families deal with what they are going through. Family and friends took the idea forward after she died and there are now 14 centres, 6 in alone.

We’ve probably all known somebody who has had or died from cancer so when the opportunity came up to raise funds for them, I thought it would be a pretty good thing to do and help families who are obviously having a pretty rough time of it.

It would be great if you can give whatever you can.

JustGiving is totally safe and the money goes directly to the charity, with Gift Aid added. Thanks for your support as it will keep me going when my legs are telling me to stop.
