Bright Red, a charity established to improve the lives and treatment of people in the North who are dealing with Blood Cancer. Through care, research and education we are striving to beat illnesses such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Story

I am an amateur magician, mindreader and hypnotist. I perform close-up and walkaround magic in pubs and at various social functions in order to raise funds for Bright Red.

When I perform in pubs I carry a collecting tin. People generously put money in the tin if they have been entertained (or perhaps they put money in the tin to make me go away!) Every penny collected in pub collections goes to Bright Red. For social functions such as wedding receptions, birthdays, BBQs, garden parties, etc., I will donate a percentage of my fee to Bright Red.

My wife, Lynn, is a nurse on the haematology ward at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. This is where many patients with blood cancers are treated. In February, 2014 she was part of the Bright Red Kili-climbers team that made it to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
