Christmas Lights Guided Walk · 20 December 2015

It gives sick children a break from therapy and treatment giving them a three day break in Disneyland Resort Paris. They are transported in a convoy of London Taxis. The families would not be able to undertake a trip alone, it is by the medical support available that enable them to do so.

Story

Join City of Westminster Guides Joanna and Ray on a special tour of London's best Christmas Lights in order to raise funds for this very worthwhile charity.

The walk starts with the cosy glow of a fire in a Marylebone pub, then meanders through the back streets of the West End, through Mayfair and into Soho. The walk includes hidden passages, superbly decorated posh shops and lots of historical snippets along the way. The theme of Christmas food and drink and Christmas traditions continues throughout the tour and there will be a mince pie or two to help us on our way.

The walk finishes in Soho close to Piccadilly Circus tube and near to a good pub for a warming drink.

Update: the 4.30pm walk is now full but we still have places on our 7.45pm walk. Meeting details are the same for both walks.

Walks with qualified Westminster Guides normally cost around £10 each.  As this is all about raising money for this most worthwhile of causes we would very much appreciate it, on behalf of the children, if you could donate a minimum of £8 per person. All money raised from these walks will be donated to The Magical Taxi Tour charity (registered charity 1026395). More details about the charity are below.

There are a limited number of spaces on each tour so we would advise you to book as soon as possible. Email info@londonanduktaxitours.london to book your place once you have donated so we can add you to the list.  The 4.30pm walk is now full. We do of course accept donations even if you're not able to join us or you can just pay on the day.

The Charity

This most worthy of causes is now an annual event that sees approximately one hundred London taxis take sick children from London on the trip of their lifetime to see the wonders of Disneyland. Many of these children are suffering from terminal diseases such as cancer and other such terrible afflictions. Continue reading ...
