The DMD Trust raises funds for research into cures for Duchenne & Becker Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne is the UK's second most common inherited life-threatening disease.

Story

My beautiful daughter Bailey-Rae has lovely long hair, she decided she would like it cut off and wanted to donate her hair to charity! We decided that we would do so and also try and raise some money in the process. We are raising money for duchenne muscular dystrophy.

My eldest was born with duchenne muscular dystrophy which is a life limiting condition which finds the boys/girls wheelchair bound by a very young age, it is a worsening condition that has no cure. My son Tyler is now 12 years old.

There is no cure for duchenne and the outcome is always fatal. These children face a short life expectancy and need a lot of help and care! It would be amazing to find a cure one day and hopefully in the near future we will have one!
