Story

I will be running London marathon 2018!

42Km or 26.2 miles, whichever way you look at it, it is a bloody long way! I am running for the Royal Free hospital charity, Hepatology (liver) department. I have worked at the Royal free for 7 years and have seen the positive impact it has on the north London community and further afield and am proud to be able to run in their name.

My passion for the liver began while working in Royal Free liver transplant Intensive Care Unit where I began to understand the complexity of the organ and the terrible consequences to patients when it mal-functions. The liver is a silent hero and is thought to have more than 500 vital functions, many of which remain poorly understood and await further medical research.

On a more personal level running a marathon has always been one of my life goals and what better place to do it than the city I call home. I would really appreciate it if you could sponsor me for this challenge and help raise money for my department. Please visit my
justgiving page to make a donation.

Thank-you in advance x
