Story

It's that time of year again - exams are almost over and the days are getting longer so I thought I'd give myself a nice relaxing break after a very long academic year by putting up my feet and chilling out...... Then my dad told me he was going to run the EMF half marathon and my competitive side woke up and told me to enter too. Considering I have been buried deep in books and have amassed an encyclopedic knowledge of all the snacks available in Sainsbury's over the past couple of months, I am not entirely sure where my trainers are lurking. Nonetheless, I feel the need to outdo my family members in any way possible (they make it damn well hard!!!) and here is a perfect opportunity to try my best at doing so. To be fair, I have age on my side but I shall not accept any excuses!

Joking aside, It would be great if you sponsored me for this run. Every little counts-be it 50p, £5 or £50. I am raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity close to my heart. Having experienced the loss of close family members to cancer, I cannot express how much the support and guidance of experienced professionals like those at Macmillan are appreciated in such a difficult time, for both the sick and those around them. So please dig deep for such a wonderful cause....and motivate me to get training and beat my dad !

P.s. I am running in memory of my beautiful, inspiring, crazy mum who I wish could be there to see me beat dad!!!
