I have chosen to shave and donate my hair to raise money and awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust.

Cancer has affected a friend of mine who is now in remission and my cousin, Leanne who unfortunately lost her battle at the age of 18 to bone cancer. Being a teenager myself it worries me that 7 young people, aged 13-24 are diagnosed with cancer everyday in the UK. This has inspired me to raise money for those who are affected by the disease.

On the 21st of December 2018, I am planning, with the support of my parents and school teachers at Hadley Learning Community (HLC), to shave my hair in our christmas assembly. My lovely hairdresser Hayley from Couture hair and beauty salon in Wellngton, Telford has agreed to do this for me. We are hoping to record the event with the possibility to stream it LIVE on Facebook.

Even if £1 was donated per person that visits this page, it would be possible to beat my £500 target. Please donate as much as you can and I would be very grateful. Lots of love, Maisie x
