Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 26th May 2013 I will be running 13.1 miles around Edinburgh to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Charity and Baby James' Starlight Trust (reg charity no.1151570).
My baby cousin Christopher is suffering from an undiagnosed but life threatening condition and has been in Great Ormond Street Hospital since January. Despite being only a few months old, he has been in and out of ICU on a number of occasions and undergone test after test with little hope of a diagnosis.
Christopher's sister Zoe sadly died from a different undiagnosed condition when she was 2 years old. Christophers' parents and his two remaining sisters, Grace and Chloe, are hopeful that something can be done for Christopher.
The care and support at Great Ormond Street has been fantastic and so it would be nice to give something back.
Baby James' Starlight Trust has also provided Christopher's parents with an overwhelming level of support and a generous donation from them has relieved some of the financial pressure they are under. I would really like to raise as much money as I can for them so that another family can benefit from the great work that they are doing.
As Baby James' Starlight Trust is a very new charity and does not have a justgiving page set up, I cannot arrange for any sponsorship to be paid to them from justgiving. Therefore any sponsorship paid through justgiving will be going directly to Great Ormond Street Charity; any cash/cheque donations will be donated to Baby James' Starlight Trust. If you would like details on how to make a donation to Baby James' Starlight Trust then please contact me (maisie_huynh87@hotmail.com).
