Story

Following the success of the 2021 ‘Le Tour de Store’ virtual cycle, this September the Majestic Board of Directors will be embarking on the London to Brighton cycle.

The 55 mile route will take the Board of Directors from the city streets down to the south-coast. A full-on 16 week training program is in progress to get them all up-to-speed.

The challenge is being completed with the aim of fundraising for the retailer’s 2022 Charity of the Year - Alzheimer's Society, and is taking place during World Alzheimer's Month. The charity was nominated by colleagues from across the business who have been impacted by dementia in various ways.

Majestic CEO, John Colley said:

“We wanted to do something fun to challenge ourselves, whilst raising money for our new charity partners. Many of our colleagues have family members suffering with dementia, and some are carers themselves, so I'm pleased we are partnering with Alzheimer's Society and can make a real difference to the level of support they receive."
