Story

The Major Projects Association is 40 years old.  As part of our 40th Anniversary celebrations the staff team have decided to walk 40km and to raise money in memory of our dear friend Mike Wallace who died in 2021.

Mike was one of the most recognisable members of the Association - over the last decade his lilting Scottish voice and be-kilted knees were a regular feature of our annual dinners.  He was a great friend and supporter of our work, attending over 60 events and supporting many other activities.

Mike's life was tragically cut short by a brain tumour and before he passed away he raised money for The Brain Tumour Charity.  We hope to raise additional funds in Mike's name with our sponsored walk.

Our route will start at Tadpole Bridge in Oxfordshire and end at Egrove Park, Kennington where the Association was founded back in 1981.

If you would like to join us for a pit-stop along the way or to cheer us on at the finish line please get in touch via mpa@majorprojects.org.
