I recently watched the "Plastic Ocean" film. I was completely heartbroken with the lack of understanding that I had with the effects that plastic is having on our health, marine life, and our planet that we are living on now and for the rest of not only our lives but our childrens lives and our childrens childrens lives. 96.5% of our planet is made up of the ocean and at least 88% of that is covered in plastic killing more than 100,000 animals each year. I decided i'm going to help make a difference and hopefully inspire others to take a stand and refuse to use plastics and demand a safer and better option. The ocean is the lifeblood for our planet, it produces more then half of the oxygen in the atmosphere and absorbs the most carbon from it. I think this deserves to be protected.
