Malawi Hospital Fundraiser

Malawi Hospital Fundraiser · 2 February 2013
Thank for visiting our page!...
As many of you know, at the end of March (after our medical finals!) Iona Gilmour, Suzannah Hartley, Georgi Cameron, Emma Stuckey, Anna Verdon and Lily Apaydin will be travelling to Malawi to work at Zomba District Hospital.
For the time we are there, we hope to give as much hands on help as we can, but we would love even more to help out the hospital in the long run.
We would like to raise money for the Zikomo Trust which is a fantastic charity which provides grants for various projects in Malawi. Each and every single penny raised will be spent on vital medical equipment and medications for the hopsital and their patients... And for this we need your help!
A small amount of money can go a long way. For example, just 35 pence can buy 100 pairs of gloves which can reduce the spread of infection, including HIV. Additionally, 1000 antimalarial drugs can be bought for £8.50.
If you could spare a tenner or even just a few quid we would really appreciate it.
We leave on 25th of March, hoping to take the supplies with us and we will ensure to take lots of photos to show you the good cause your money has gone to.
We would like to thank Barry Brindley for all his kind help to make this project possible.
