Story
This page is now closed: we depart for Malawi in less than a month, and due to the delay in receiving money via JustGiving, we can no longer accept donations here. However, if you'd like to donate directly to our bank account, please visit our website and get in touch: www.facebook.com/malawik2012
“Tomorrow counts” is a two month community-based project conceived by a local organisation, Kachimbeka, and the Mikule community. We will be constructing a health centre, with wards for males, females and children, an under five clinic room, HIV-testing and vaccination rooms, a pharmacy room, consultation room, in a rural village in northern Malawi. The centre will be accessible to over 10,000 people and make a massive difference to the lives of the entire community.
Edinburgh Global Partnerships (that's us) are raising 75% of the construction and labour costs, totalling £10,896. All money raised will go directly to the project; all flights, personal and living costs are being paid for out of the volunteers' own pockets.
