Story

Mrs French sadly lost her husband Russell last April to cancer.

In memory of Russ, friends and family are taking on challenges based on the number 38 to celebrate what would have been his 38th birthday this month. We are raising money for St Lukes hospice who cared for Russ and continue to support Mrs French and her three children Effy (9) Aria (4) and Indi (1).

Malborough school will be taking on individual challenges based around the number 38. Some will be riding their bikes, some will be skipping, some will be running 38 laps of the playground and lots of other fun sporting activities.

Please get behind the kids to help support St Lukes Hospice and the fundraiser #run4russ.

For more than 35 years we have been providing specialist end of life care and support to people from across Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall, whether in the home, hospital or at our specialist unit at Turnchapel. We care for people with serious illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease, heart failure, multiple sclerosis and chronic lung disease, treating any adult over the age of 18. We do all we can to involve patients in decisions about their care, to maintain privacy and dignity in providing that care and to respect patients individual rights and religious and cultural beliefs. Our approach to care is holistic, centred on the needs of the individual patient.
