Malcolm Browning passed away peacefully at home on May 21st 2020 after a short and brave battle with lung cancer. Taken too soon, he leaves behind his wife Iris, sons Ashley and Robert; Robert's partner Sarah, step-mum Ann and brothers Steve and Keith.
Malc was born on 18th September 1958 in Moretonhampstead. Living most of his life in Devon, he initially trained as a woodworking machinist. Building his experience and using the skills he developed, he became a self employed Cabinet Maker for around 14 years. After this, he became a Site Manager for two Primary schools in Exeter where he was able to utilise his skills and attention to detail within the schools, whilst also undertaking projects around his work using his woodworking expertise.
In his spare time he was a keen photographer and fine examples of his hobby can be seen in some pictures at the top of this page! As well as a keen car enthusiast, he also enjoyed cycling and walking, embracing scenery especially Dartmoor and the Lake District.
Malc specified Hospiscare as his chosen charity due to the care they gave to his Dad. They also helped him and the family during his palliative care at home, providing invaluable emotional support, medical help and guidance for the family to ensure Malc was comfortable and well looked after. Iris, Ashley and Robert are incredibly grateful for this service.
