Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In December 2014 my 6 year old daughter Maisie was admitted to the Burns ITU of Broomfield Hospital having contracted Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN).
This is an incredibly rare, life-threatening skin condition that causes the top layer of skin to detach from the lower layers of the skin all over the body, leaving the body susceptible to severe infection.
This was a very upsetting and stressful time for our family, however the medical care given to Maisie by the amazing staff of the Burns ITU and the support given to us has made me compelled to give something back - a thank you would never have expressed my gratitude enough!
So I decided to undertake a 16 week training programme and run the Brighton Marathon on 12th April in a bid to raise some money for this incredible department of talented and dedicated nurses, doctors and surgeons.
Any sum you can give to help me raise my target will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
