We raise money to help treat & beat heart and lung disease

Story

As many of you know, in 2021 I was struck down with this awful infection. Endocarditis is a potential life threatening infection, mainly infecting heart valves and surrounding areas. Those particularly at risks, are people who've had a heart valves replaced,  as I did originally in 2008. I was made aware of Endocarditis after my op, but was never told the seriousness of it. Having now suffered from Endocarditis, I'm now fully aware of the seriousness of it and want to spread the word about it.

The Ealing half marathon in September, will be my 1st Half marathon since my illness. Although I've run a few in my time and even got close to cracking 90 minutes, this will be very different. This will be a big, big challenge for me to even cross the finish line. As well as spreading awareness, I also want to give back to the Royal Brompton to say thank you and also help funding research towards heart conditions and diseases THANKYOU.

I completed the half marathon in 1.57.38 which is much faster than I ever expected.
