We are celebrating our Golden Wedding anniversary on 23rdApril 2023, and like many others who have reached this Marathon of a Milestone we wanted to do something memorable to commemorate the day. And what could be more memorable than to take part in the London Marathon.

We (especially Freda) have been supporters of LOROS for many years and LOROS have offered us 2 places from their allocation from the organisers of the London Marathon. We have been training, but Freda will be 77 and Malcolm 79 on the Big Day, so we won’t be breaking any time records, but do hope to make it to the finish line before the crew who clean up behind the runners!

Many if not most of you will know of someone who has benefitted from respite and/or end of life care from LOROS. Most of the funds that go to provide their services are raised by charitable donations from people like you. To those of our close friends and family who might have been thinking of giving us a gift for our Golden Wedding Anniversary we would much prefer that you make a donation to LOROS on our Just Giving page.

We intend to run together and once we have been allocated our competitor numbers we will post these on our Just Giving page so that you will be able to follow our progress on the London Marathon website.
