As you may be aware our Dublin Airport property is part of the Dalata Group and in addition to providing world class hospitality to our guests we also want to give back to our communities through focused corporate social responsibility initiatives.  2019 marks the third year of our charity initiative “Dalata Digs Deep” which has supported CMRF Crumlin Children’s  Hospital along with Great Ormond Street Hospital in the UK and Cancer Focus in Northern Ireland.

The success of our relationship with CMRF Crumlin has been greater than we could ever have imagined. This past year we set a new record for the amount of donations received, with the Dalata Group combining to raise over €1 million. At CMRF Crumlin the funding we contribute to supports initiatives, research and projects that will:

• Save young lives
• Improve the quality of life for children living with childhood disease or illness
• Enhance patient experience and brighten sick children’s days

This year to continue on this great work during Dalata Digs Deep week which commences on September 9^th, the team here at Maldron Dublin airport will be walking the distance from Maldron Hotel Dublin Airport to Malta!!! Yep, all 3254 km of it! It will take approximately 44 of us 7 days, walking 10 km per day to reach our destination. That is nearly 4 Million Steps! 

While we are immensely proud of our fundraising efforts thus far, we also see the great benefits and engagement around these important initiatives from our both our staff and guests alike so we would welcome any support that you may be able to offer, no matter how small and any contribution you can make would be gratefully received.
