This was my story ♥️.

This is a cause very close to my heart as I was myself in an emotionally, ,mentally and physically abusive marriage for almost 7 years.Looking back I felt totally stuck , powerless and completely broken...it is only thanks to Nour DV and the support I received through counselling , and their amazing team of Islamic and legal advisers that I slowly managed to build up the confidence and the strength to walk away with my twins aged 9 months at the time and my eldest aged 3 years old.

The truth is that even once you leave , the amount of help and support you need to get back on your feet is tremendous.NOUR offered me counselling totally free when I was at my lowest and struggling financially , and I am so grateful that they kept offering me support every time I reached out to them and felt I had not healed yet.

Domestic abuse does not only hurt people but also children; and these children carry the trauma of DV for generations unless they ve sought help and healed.

This is the reason why there isn’t a better time to support this amazing charity than this blessed month of Ramadan.
