Power Walkers Half Marathon · 21 October 2018

ChallengeAid (CA) raises money through sponsored challenges in the UK. None of the money raised is used for admin purposes. With that money we create Schools of Hope in slums in East Africa to allow aspirational children, through education, to escape the cycle of poverty in which they are trapped.

Story

The Power Walkers + Friends are aiming to raise £6000 for Challenge Aid with a series of challenges and small events throughout the coming months. Kick starting this fund raising is our first challenge - a Half Marathon Power Walk through the Two Tunnels. We completed this challenge on Sunday 21st October and are now planning the next adventure!

£6000 is the amount required to build a new School of Hope.

ChallengeAid promotes health and fitness throughout the UK by motivating corporate groups, universities, schools and individuals to raise money through sponsored activity by undertaking physical challenges and exercise. Our aim is to create "Schools of Hope" for aspirational young slum dwellers in East Africa who often cannot attend school during the day due to family or work demands and so offer a complementary & alternative form of schooling.Through our work, we enable some of the poorest people in Africa to escape a lifetime of poverty.
