Story

Two years ago on Saturday 5 March 2022 Mamuska! Polish Restaurant and Bar donated 100% of the operating profits from all of our food and drink sales to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal of The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).  For those who could not come in on the big day, this fundraising page has given an opportunity for Mamuska Restaurants Limited and our customers to show on-going support by offering a direct donation towards our fundraising for the DEC Ukrainian Appeal.

Two years on, Putin is still undefeated and Ukraine remains under constant attack.  That is why we are using this weekend as an opportunity to bring our focus and the attention of our customers back to Ukraine, where they still desperately. need our financial help, all the time, remembering that it is the Ukrainians themselves that are doing the hard fighting and putting up a heroic resistance.

Ten per cent of all sales on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of February 2024 will be donated by Mamuska Restaurants Limited to the DEC Ukraine Appeal.  We encourage our customers to join with us to dig deep and donate what we can and try in order to reach a I revised and upgraded £10,000 Just Giving triumphant target!

As you know the attack on Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country, and has caused millions to flee. Homes have been destroyed or are unsafe to live in. Essential services have been wiped from existence. Families have been separated. Civilians have been injured and killed. Brave lives have been lost fighting for basic freedom.

The 15 charities represented by DEC and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care. £30 provides essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month. £50 provides blankets for 4 families to keep them warm. £100 provides emergency food for two families for one month.  Please, give what you can and poke Putin in the eye.
