Manchester Community Choir is raising money for Manchester Mind

Manchester Community Choir Video · 1 December 2020

We support young people and adults with mental health issues in Manchester. We're an independent, self-financed charity offering services to those most in need. We promote positive attitudes to mental health to challenge stigma, increase awareness and work for better mental health for all.

Story

Manchester Mind is an independent, local charity, which supports over 6,500 children, young people and adults each year. We believe that everyone deserves to be supported in their mental health needs and we have a part to play in that. Our charity values the commitment of our staff and volunteers, who work hard to ensure services are delivered in a way that enables people to feel heard and involved. Donations and help from our fantastic supporters make a real difference, so thank you for being part of our success this year.

At Manchester Community Choir, singing and coming together virtually is helping us to get through the current difficult times and we are keen to reach out to others in our community and beyond. We have been meeting over Zoom since the start of the pandemic, to sing and to chat; and now the miracles of modern technology have brought us and our voices together digitally to create this video.

We would like to dedicate our song, "I wish I knew how it would feel to be free" to Manchester Mind, and to invite any donations to this fantastic cause.
