Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are walking together, raising money for research into brain tumours. This dreadful disease kills more children and adults under 40 than any other form of cancer.

Astro Brain Tumour Fund was founded by one of our team members, Katie Sheen, in 2001. Her brother-in-law Paul Chamberlain was diagnosed with a low-grade astrocytoma brain tumour aged just 30 years old. Paul died 5 years later, having suffered dreadful personality changes and progressive physical disabilities. There is still no cure, because research into brain cancer has been desperately underfunded - so we are doing our best to change this awful prognosis for families across the globe.
