Manchester Memory Walk 2021 · 2 October 2021 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Winifred’s family and friends are completing the Heaton Park Memory Walk on 02/10/2021 to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.

"Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice."

In recent years, my grandma Winifred has been diagnosed with Dementia. First hand, we have experienced the difficulties associated with Dementia, not only for my grandma but for her loved ones also. Even though this is a devastating disease that has changed all of our lives, we have had amazing support from carers, doctors and specialists. So we would love to raise money not only in aid of finding a cure for Alzheimer's and all related illnesses, but for everyone who has cared for the people and families that suffer from these diseases.

Any donations will be gratefully received, as we believe this is such an important cause. If you would like to join us on our walk on 02/10/2021, please contact Imogen Smith or drop a post on this page.

Thank you so much for your support. We can't wait to get our walking boots on!
