Story
For my training I've run in Mexico, Buckinghamshire, Somerset, Cornwall, Wales, Spain and the islands of Sicily. It's been hilly, it's been hot but I discovered some really beautiful countryside, learnt that I don't die if I run in 33 degree heat (I just sweat more than I thought was possible for one human) and was free to eat my body weight in jelly babies and carbs.
Now it's time to hit the streets of London and I'm both terrified and excited!
I'm raising money for the Rebecca Swift Foundation, an amazing charity that I'm lucky to be a trustee for. A very small team works incredibly hard to support women poets, creating an encouraging and inspiring environment for them to develop as poets. I'm a big believer in the power of creativity to give voice to powerful unheard stories, especially women, which is what brought me to RSF.
If you'd like to donate to this wonderful cause I'd be super happy! Your money will go towards growing support women poets in the development of their work and practice, and bringing attention to a diverse range of voices.
