My mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer almost 4 years ago . That day, it seemed the world had stopped for me, and nothing would ever be good again. My mum was such a courageous woman who was not only my mum but my best friend. She decided to fight this deadly disease and underwent months of gruelling treatment just so she may have the chance of spending one more Xmas with her children and grandchildren. Sadly my beautiful mum did not get her final wish. I promised myself that day I would spend the rest of my life trying to be as inspirational and strong as my mum was. So by learning to run and running this race , I can try and give something back to Cancer UK and I pray I have helped even just one mummy  get their final wish.
