Story

I’m entering the London Marathon 2022 to raise vital funds
for Calvert Trust Exmoor and I would welcome (need!) your support!

The Calvert Trust is an outdoor adventure centre in North Devon, providing activity breaks for people with physical, behavioural, sensory and learning disabilities.  I am really pleased to try and do one small thing to support this charity and fundraise to help provide life-changing experiences for children, adults and families with disabilities.

In addition to the reduction in fundraising activities over the last two years, the opportunity for families, schools and groups to visit a centre which is equipped to help people that wouldn't otherwise be able to benefit from outdoor activities has not been possible, therefore raising funds for the Calvert Trust is more important now than pre-pandemic.

As most of you know, I am not a natural runner and “actually” running is quite sporadic for me, in 2018 I completed the North Devon Marathon raising funds for the Hospice, I was in the small group left at the back!, but I did finish, although my feet have only just recovered!! I managed to do this on pretty much one long training run a week, still busy in the Buck household, so again this will be a huge challenge, to dedicate time, I will have to focus and show my grit and determination on the day to ensure I finish.

Please show your support and encouragement by donating anything you can and I’ll keep you posted on how its going!

Many many thanks
