Story
on 23rd March I plan to walk on Walk on hot coals whilst raising money for Sebastians Action Trust... let me tell you why:
As many of you are aware of my granddaughter Bella has a rare gene condition called SCN2A.
Bella has numerous medical complexities including aggressive Epilepsy, Developmental delays, a Movement disorder, Hypotonia (floppiness of the body) and painful Gastrointestinal problems.
Bella is non mobile, non speaking and struggles with coordination. Bella needs 24/7 care.
Medical complexities aside , Bella is a legend ,a true hero and the most patient loveable person I have ever known.
The path has not been easy for Bella and our family but along the way we have received countless acts of kindness from others . Family , friends and charities .
The most brilliant charity supporting our family is Sebastian’s action trust . They have been absolutely amazing for us as a family their support is endless.
They offer a ever- evolving programme of support, completely free of charge, to families of children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, aged 0-19. The Bluebells provides family respite in addition to emotional, social and practical support that is flexible, adapting to the needs of each family in a way that always respects choice, individuality and the implications of living with a new, often unwelcome ‘normal’.
Bella has had some amazing times at Sebastian’s action trust A firm favourite is their beautiful garden at Bluebells . It’s a calm environment for exhausted parents and poorly children.
Bella has enjoyed so many special occasions with Sebastian’s action trust from big events like the Christmas party and Christmas in July to more calmer events like coffee mornings where parents and children can come together to chat and share experiences.
When a child dies, the trust continue to support families as part of their ‘butterfly’ families for as long as they need.
None of us in our life time should have to experience a child passing over, but if and when that happens Sebastian’s action trust are there for effected heartbroken families.
So now I would like to give back to this Amazing charity. I need your help and support.
As my Nickname is ninja nanny . I thought I had to do something a little daring and fun!!!!
I will be doing a fire walk on the 23rd of March to raise money for this wonderful charity. I will literally be walking over hot coals!!!
Can you help me reach my target or maybe more please??
I plan to film the event so you can all share my experience. Thank you all and pray for my feet please lol
