Virtual London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·
I wrote a whole load of words about the brilliant work done by the team at Mane Chance, but you can learn that on their website. The reason I love the place (and the horses, hens, humans, and hounds) is because I have anxiety, and there are very few places I can be myself and relax. This is one of those places and I truly cherish it. Everyone is accepting, kind, and understanding.
Mane Chance rescue horses who have suffered situations of abuse, neglect or abandonment and provide them with a safe home where they feel loved and cared for. Working alongside the horses, Mane Chance support children with additional needs, including those on the autistic spectrum, those who self-harm, have eating disorders and a range of physical and mental disabilities.
If you can spare a few pounds to sponsor me for running the Virtual London Marathon, I really do appreciate it, and so will the team at Mane Chance. BUT if you can't, then please visit them - it's an amazing place and I can't put into words how much good it does to spend time there, and meet their lovely horses.
"A wonderful place, there's a sort of 'other worldliness' about it, a real gem in the heart of Surrey."
