Update: Well, I did the run. It took me a little under 2 hours, which I was not displeased with given that I spent the first quarter of an hour trying to get away from the throng of Big Birds and Noddys. I did not walk or rest at any point and I can honestly say that at no time during the run did I experience anything which could be construed as approaching 'fun'.

Manley got a little drunk, poked fun at Rudi's running and made a drunken promise to run a half marathon, namely The Great West Run. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but wasn't. I am aware that some people enjoy running, but I am not one of them. It's just painful, dull and unpleasant.
I thought that, since I am putting myself through this, I might as well do something with the effort, and I am a fervent supporter of the RNLI, especially after they dragged James out of the sea for us, so:
