I'm excited to share that I will be embarking on an incredible challenge: running my first-ever marathon! The race is set to take place on October 22, 2023, at Battersea Park, and I seek to accomplish two significant goals:
- raise £500 for Alzheimer's Society
- comple the race within 4 hours
The driving force behind this fundraiser is my late great uncle, Aubry Jackson, who courageously battled vascular dementia from 2013 onwards. Witnessing the challenges he faced as the disease progressed deeply impacted me. To support him, I volunteered my time to assist with daily activities, such as accompanying him on walks, preparing meals, and aiding in his bathing routine. Sadly, he passed away from Covid-19 in 2020.
Today, I reach out to you with a request for your support in helping me achieve my fundraising target of £500 for Alzheimer's Society.
