So it&rsquo;s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #800080;">l have lived in Brighton on and off for about 7 years, but I originally come from North Yorkshire.&nbsp;&nbsp; I signed up for the Brighton marathon nearly a year ago and decided I wanted to raise money for a local charity.&nbsp; There are so many worthy causes out there but I wanted to do something for my own community.&nbsp; I came across the work that emmaus do and decided I really wanted to run for them.&nbsp;&nbsp;People sometimes loose their way in life, sometimes things are tough and unless they have a strong support network it's easy to see how life may feel like it's beaten you and people loose hope.&nbsp;&nbsp;I wanted, in my own way, to try and&nbsp;raise&nbsp;the profile of emmaus who I saw taking a much more holistic approach to helping people.&nbsp; </span><br /><span style="color: #800080;">Having been to see the people at the Portslade community, I think the work they do is fantastic and I hope to raise as much as I can!</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="color: #800080;">So please dig deep and donate now.</span></p>
