Story

On Sunday 23rd April 2023 we will be taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon in memory of a loving father, husband, father in law, granddad, brother, uncle and friend who passed away on the the 27th September 2022.

We have chosen to run with Marie Curie, a charity close to our hearts and a charity that was very special to my dad when he lost his brother.

My dad had one wish when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour in May 2022 and that was to remain at home with his family. The Marie Curie Team helped to make this possible. Angels, who came into our lives when we needed it most.

Marie Curie do incredible work with people in providing end of life care. Their intervention gives the gift of support and promotes dignity for the person at the end of their life.

We ask that you support us and Marie Curie to continue their important work by donating to our London Marathon in memory of Sean Murphy. We aim to have some additional fun events along the way to raise money to meet our goal.

I (Elizabeth) am new to running and Paddy is building his fitness up so it will be a great challenge to complete the London Marathon. All your moral support along the way will be greatly appreciated.
