Story

We are running the length of the river Usk - 80 miles over 3 days. We are doing a marathon a day with a 30 miler in the middle.

We are raising money for two charities. The first is the Wye and Usk Foundation which is an environmental charity and rivers trust at the forefront of the fight to save our rivers and the local environment.

The second is the Motor Neurone Disease Association which provides support and care to those suffering from MND as well as their families. Gerry's father suffered from MND so it is a particularly important charity for him and his family.

About the charity

The Wye & Usk Foundation works to restore these two great rivers and their tributaries. Working in partnerships with statutory bodies and landowners it makes good the problems afflicting their salmon and other indigenous species, and provides opportunities for the public to enjoy and benefit from this.
