It is over two years now since we lost our friend, Luke Holland, who was murdered abroad in September 2015. It was such devastating news to hear that one of the greatest lads that we had ever met had been killed and no family should ever have to go through the pain that Luke's family has suffered. So many of his friends from around the world wanted to help and a large amount of money was raised to support Luke's family get justice and bring him home to Manchester.  We now hope to do the same for other families who have lost a loved one abroad. 

Hearing that a family member has been murdered abroad is devastating and nobody should have to deal with the problems of language, culture,
repatriation and a foreign judicial process alone when trying to get justice for their loved one. Murdered-abroad.org.uk is an independent charity who work to improve the support that families receive when trying to get justice and return their relative home.

After reading that Luke's parents received little support from the Foreign Office during their fight for justice, we felt that we needed to raise some money for a charity that will stand with those families who have heard the terrible news that we did back in 2015. Murdered Abroad is a charity set up by friends and family of victims who were murdered abroad. They are all volunteers who have been through it themselves and we believe that there is no better charity to raise money for, in memory of our mate Luke.

The Greater Manchester Marathon in memory of Luke

A few of us have recently been training hard and have decided that we would like to run the Greater Manchester Marathon in memory of Luke. Danny Nichols, Simon Myatt and David Williamson hope to raise at least £3000 to help Murdered-abroad.org.uk continue to support families through the most difficult of times.
