Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year, to raise money for Parkinson's UK, I will be running the London Marathon dressed as a monk. Not only that, I will be attempting to set the World Record for a marathon dressed as a monk.

Why Parkinson's and why a monk? Well, my dad has Parkinson's as did my grandad, so it's a charity that is close to my heart. As my dad is a vicar and so was my grandad, I was looking for a representative outfit and, after talking with Guinness World Records, we agreed that the monk record was the most appropriate.

It would be fabulous if you feel able to support what I think is a great cause. Training, as you can see from the picture above, is going well, although I'm yet to take my habit out in the rain. I also plan to race in it at some shorter distances before the marathon.
