Story
Hi, thanks for taking some time to visit and read my JustGiving page!
At the beginning of the year my wife, Laura, was told she had a faulty heart valve and was referred to Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH).
During her appointments before the operation the surgeon also discovered she had an aneurysm in her heart that was worryingly close to rupturing.
On the day of Laura's operation the surgeon discovered the aneurysm had actually begun bleeding among some other unforeseen complications. Through sheer skill the surgeon and her team managed to fix everything without incident and Laura could start the long road to recovery.
We stayed at LHCH for just under two weeks and the staff gave to both Laura and I was second to none. I stayed close to Laura the entire time thanks to the Robert Owen House, a charity-dependent accommodation opposite the main building that allows family of patients to stay for a very small fee. They were very accommodating to any visitors and did their best to make sure Laura was comfortable and getting the care she needed before allowing her home.
How my wife would have coped without the staff at the LHCH doesn't bare thinking about. We are forever in their debit!
