So we all know the NHS is incredible, right? But it’s often tarnished with the brush of being ‘wasteful’ and ‘inefficient’ and this is one of the biggest myths out there. It’s actually just underfunded and under more pressure now than ever before.

On a personal level I have the NHS to thank for saving (and continuing to check-up on/look after/treat) some of the closest people in my life ❤️

In the last few years my little family has grown with the arrival of my amazing girls Skye and Cali, and my favourite niece Sienna….all costing the tiny sum of a thank you card and a box of donuts for the incredible staff that brought them into this world.

The NHS is a world class service that produces miracles every day. Without it, we would face some crazy costs….in America, without insurance, it costs:

• £185 for one course of brand name antibiotics
• £2,750 for 1 CT Scan
• £11,850 to give birth
• £42,500 for a knee replacement
• £125,000 for a course of Chemotherapy

So over the next 2 months, I’m running the London Half, London Landmarks Half Marathon and the London Marathon, and then taking part in the Hyrox Open at the start of May (have a Google….I’m well out of my comfort zone here!).

I’m raising money for NHS Charities Together who work to help take pressure off an overstretched NHS. Together with a network of over 230 NHS charities they support our incredible NHS staff and emergency volunteers, so that they can continue with their vital life-saving work. 

Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. Even if it helps the NHS cover the cost of giving a blood test (£9.84) or the cost of a GP appointment (£36).
