Peter De Mello worked at hunterston for 40Years    initially in stores and latterly as an instructor in the training centre.  A well loved and respected man who made friends with all that he met. Peter was also a loving Husband and father married to Jan it was in the later years that Jan was stuck by cancer!  With Peters support and medical treatment developed by cancer research charities Jan  was finally given the all clear.  In a tragic twist of fate and highlighting the indiscriminate cruelty of this disease within months of Jan's all clear Peter himself was diagnosed with cancer and sadly passed away in June 2014 Peter will be sadly missed and in honour of him there have been various charity raising efforts from friends and colleagues.
